Professor Ji Wang has been a Qianjiang Chair Professor at Ningbo University since 2002 and served as Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies from 2013 to 2019. He is the founding director of the Piezoelectric Device Laboratory, recognized as a Key Laboratory by the Municipality of Ningbo. Prior to his academic career, he held senior engineering roles at SaRonix, NetFront Communications, and Epson Palo Alto Laboratory. Professor Wang earned his PhD and Master's from Princeton University (1996, 1993) after his bachelor's degree from Gansu University of Technology. His research focuses on acoustic waves, high-frequency vibrations, and resonator design within elastic and piezoelectric solids. He has authored over 240 journal papers and holds patents in the U.S. and China. He is actively involved in various international committees, including IEEE UFFC and IEC TC-49, and serves as the founding chair of CSTAM’s Committee on Mechanics of Electronic & Magnetic Devices and SPAWDA. From 2015 to 2020, he was editor-in-chief of Structural Longevity.
